What stays on your device

Reading Resume stores page URLs, page titles, saved sentences, nearby sentence context, timestamps, and your reading-strip preferences in your browser’s local extension storage. We do not receive this information. Exported backups go only to the location you choose.

Read aloud

Read aloud uses the speech synthesis capability and voices provided by your browser or operating system. Reading Resume does not send article text to our servers. Your device or browser vendor may apply its own voice-service policy.

Website and licensing

This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, cookies, or third-party runtime scripts. If you purchase Plus, Sociobot and Dodo act as checkout and merchant-of-record providers. We send the license token you enter to Sociobot only to verify that the unlock is active. A successful verdict is cached for up to 24 hours.

Permissions

The extension runs on ordinary HTTP and HTTPS pages so it can find and restore a sentence. It cannot run on protected browser pages, extension stores, or built-in viewers. Storage permission keeps anchors local; tabs permission opens a saved page when you choose it.

Deleting your data

Clear saved places from Reading settings, remove individual browser site data, or uninstall the extension. Removing the extension deletes its local data according to your browser’s behavior.
